Local fella who sells them, claims there the best polk has ever put out, as far as bookshelf goes,????
Not an Audiophile, just a dude who loves music, and decent gear to hear it with.

I'm guessing he does not sell the a3's then, because they blow the a1's away in all of my A/B comparisons.
I'm sure some LSi fans will say that that line has better bookshelves, but the rti a3's have to be one of the best bookshelf speakers Polk makes, yes. I would say the a1's are immediately next in line on that list.Polk Audio RTi A3 (mains)
Polk Audio CSi A4 (center)
Polk Audio RC60i (rears)

No, they're not the best but they do sound good. Give them a listen. -
I have the RTi A1s as surrounds and listened to music with them one afternoon while one of my amps was in the shop. For their size, they sound really nice. But I'd agree with ShadowTowel - The RTi A3s would be better.
My LSi9s are coming in tomorrow, so I'll get a chance to compare in the coming days.ALL BOXED UP for a while until I save up for a new place
