i've tried both analog L&R and both types of digital cables. Honestly , i couldn't tell any difference.. as long as the cables are of decent quality. They don't have to be a $200 per meter cables.. just good ones. I've lately been somewhat impressed by the Radio Shack Fusion ones. Good looking and it punched up the bass slightly in my CD player using the L&R analog outputs.

    this ended up in the wrong place... and i can't delete it. I was responding to the thread of analog VS digital outputs from a simple CD player.

    Sure was. The power came back on at around 10:00AM or so.

    Now, I'm off to Toronto for a Radiohead concert tomorrow. :)
