I am a newbie when it comes to audio and I was wondering if it is ok to mix product series. I was looking at the M30 speakers and I saw a CS 10 center for a good price. Would these speakers work together pretty well or should I get a CS1/CS2 which are apart of the same product series as the M30 speakers?

It should work fine. The CS1 and CS10 are almost identical except for the cabinet style. They both use the same drivers and tweeters. I use a CS10 between two Monitor 60's and I love it.TV: 65" Samsung QLED 4K

negatory ghostwriter. They use different midwoofers and tweeters and probably different crossovers. Now granted the sound is similar. But I would recommend saving for a cs2 as it will be great for movies and match the m30s well.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

I have a CS2 and M30's in the surround position. After listening to the CS1 and 2 back to back, there's no way I'd settle for the 1. The 2 can put out the sound without strain. The 30's put out a surprisingly amount of awesome sound just in my surround spot.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

I just installed my new CS20 tonight (replaced a CSR) and it sounds GREAT with my R50 mains.
The CS10 would match the M30s fine, IMO.
That said, if you think you might upgrade your mains later and cascade the M30s, then get a CS20.Florida_Gator

We have the CS1 in our bedroom system. It's matched beautifully to its speaker mates; Monitor 40 Series II fronts and Monitor 30 Series II surrounds and PSW 111 sub.
It does a great job presenting TV and movie dialogue as well as musically when in multi channel mode. I also own a CS2 and I'm sure it would have worked as well, but the CS1 was smaller and fit well with everything both dimensionally and as part of the sound package.
I believe I purchased it on sale a Newegg for $69. You wouldn't be disappointed with either.
I preferred the CS1 between my choices.
Here's what Polk recommended with the original series:

It almost sounds as if you never hooked up your CS2 due to size and installed the CS1.
Is that true? I don't know of anyone that owns both CS1 and 2 and actually prefers the smaller speaker from an audible perspective.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

The CS2 was part of that system in the beginning. The CS1 was brought in to better fit the bedroom setup. They were not A/Bd in that setup, persay, but I do prefer the CS1. To us it carries both dialogue and music better than the CS2 did in that room.
That CS2 was at one time part of my primary system (see sig) for a while before the CSi6 arrived.
It now lives in my electronic boneyard with other commponents that should have been something they weren't.
Visit my system showcase to view how it's setup. Perhaps placement, room dimenstions, etc will better explain how it can be true.

Right on bro, thanks for the explanation. How do you like the i6 compared to the CS2? And........what all do you have in your "boneyard"?Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2
