OMG. Words can't describe it. I'm watching SF and Oakland in HD right now on Fox. :D

We still don't have ESPN HD here yet. But TWC has finally added Discovery HD and it is sweeeeeeet.

I hate it for ya if you ain't got it...

It is funny that you mention that....I was flipping channels and noticed the game. I am not HD, and sheesh it looked a little odd tonight. Not only was it regular but signal looked poor...well maybe I am just going blind, must've been Ron P's link to the level of Hell application.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I don't think Fox is broadcasting HD. I think you are seeing widescreen 480i or 480p.

ESPN recently started pushing 720p and it is amazing.
It's like looking through binoculars at a live game.

Well, there was a big difference between the regular channel and the HD Fox channel. I guess you could be right, I just assumed since it was widescreen it was in HD.

As for Fox not broadcasting in HD, I know for a fact that they started some broadcasting of the NFL in '98. I was at the first game they ever broadcast in HD. Carolina vs Green Bay and it was announced before the game that it was the first NFL game ever broadcast in HD. I didn't get an HD box until well after the NFL season last year; but I'm hoping by now all of them are broadcast in HD. Of course half the season won't matter, I've been a Carolina Panther PSL owner since '96, and HD is nice; but live is alot better.

I added a DirectTv HD box about a month ago and WOW!! I only wish I could receive the local channels in HD broadcast out of Jacksonville.

ESPN HD is terrific, football and baseball right now, I feel like an 8 year old going to their first pro game everytime I turn it on. Also the Discovery HD is pristine. Alot of folks coming over simply say " Man that is Beautiful"

Have not been posting much since I got it, to busy getting my "watch" on.:D

In case you didn't hear, CBS will do a HD NFL game of the week every week this year. From what I understand, it will also be broadcast on Directv in HD as part of the NFL Sunday Ticket. Plus there is the ESPN Sunday Night game and MNF.
