I'm posting this for a friend, but the unit is in my possession. I was using this as a source for my shortlived 2 channel rig and was very impressed with it's analog sound quality. I don't have the specs. I'll find them later and post pics, but most of you will know it's capability. This player sold for $1000.00 new. No HDMI, but a nice upscaler and you know the rest...

$200.00 plus shipping...

Condition 9/10

More later...

edit...here's a review and some basic specs.

Ron,I've owned the 2900 for quite some time,a stellar player for sure...I've always thought it would make a great transport with a good DAC behind it.

I've read where these models can be modded fairly easily, brings them to a new level.

This seems like a steal to me at this price.

I liked it alot and it's just sitting here. As a universal transport it was excellent even without a DAC. It has 5.1 multi-outs for MCH and it's buiklt like a tank. Has the remote. As a DVD player...well it's good, but who watches DVDs anymore . That's why it's cheap. Do my friend a favor someone and buy this thing.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO

That's a fact,no time for DVDs when there is good music to listen to:biggrin:..."built like a tank" is an understatement for sure.

but it looks like it also plays SACD's.. which it might be a pretty decent player for that at least.
