assuming the sub can handle a ported enclosure...
    sealed:
    smaller box
    cleaner sound
    simple design
    not very expensive at all
    ported:
    larger box
    a little dirtier sound
    a little bit louder
    harder to build
    more expensive to buy

    dont port it.

email fred at image690@aol.com or instant message him - tell him vinnie told u to get ahold of him -- or call image's number and ask for matt or fred.

do sealed... do cabinet grade birch plywood... you're proly gonna go with spec or just a hair above it (adding in basket displacement).

and throw about 200 watts over spec on it with a good solid amp.

lol -- i'm frickin broke, i'll build it for $150 shipped to anywhere in the continental USA ground service - carpeted and pre-wired - made out of cabinet grade birch ply ... or like 130 for MDF. :)
