Maybe this is a Liam Neeson "Unknown" spinoff. A Polkie wakes up and can't remember Rush existed in the '70's

these guys not being in the Rock hal of fame is one of the chief things that make the hall a joke. Granted, there are about 178 other reasons, but Rush's omission is definitely in the top 5

If you're speaking of the one in Cleveland, they've been there for years! Somewhere there are pics of me next to Pert's drum set.

Edit. I am wrong. I am going to have to try to find the pics. I could have sworn I stood next to a Rush exhibit.

One of my favorite bands, right behind Pink Floyd.

Definitely the best 3 man band ever. Tom Sawyer is an all time great song. So many others as well.

Talented musicians who made horrible music.

You must work for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...

By the way, you're completely wrong. Go listen to La Villa Strangiato and tell me that's horrible music.

To make a blanket statement like 'Rush sucks' is uninformed in every musical sense I can think of, and I'm actually shocked to hear that come from a seemingly otherwise intelligent person.

Hearing Rush on my dad's stereo is what go me into this hobby. I love Rush and can't believe I paid over 600 bucks for 2 seats to see them when they come to B-More (that wasn't even scalper prices). But I can't wait to see them.
If life had more tubes it would be a lot smoother.

I specifically added that they were talented musicians so my "sucks" statement wouldn't be taken as a blanket statement so much as my opinion ... I recognize that they are talented, but the music they produce does nothing for me. I've tried, I really have, because so many people LOVE them. I can see how some songs are catchy, but.... nope. Don't like 'em.

Fair enough, you should still check out La Villa Strangiato if you haven't already. It's not representative of what they are necessarily, but is a good example of what they could have been if Geddy wasn't allowed to sing...

    A great author as well.

He had a really tough life. Interesting to read what he has been through.

+1 on one of the best behind Floyd.

No single band can be everyones cup of tea. He may not like the music but at least he acknowledges their abilities. Myself, I'd beg to differ. I love most of their music and have seen them five times in concert. They never disappointed.

Geddy has a unique voice that works very well for the sound of the band. They haven't sold a boatload of records by their looks.

LOL. I have a friend that can't stand his voice. Me, I love Rush. Neil Peart is great. But to say that Rush "sucks" is simplistic. There's lots of bands that I don't like, it would be naive for me or anyone to say that they "suck". I would think that a band would be categorically labeled with "suck" if the almost-absolute majority of people does not like the band. This is far from the case for Rush.

BTW, they belong in the Rock-n-Roll hall of fame. That is an injustice.

Next time I don't like a band I'll be sure to take hours out of my day to use the correct verbiage so as not to be "simplistic." It was simplistic because it is a simple visceral response : I recognize their talent, but don't like their music.

Also, why does anyone care about the R&R Hall of Fame? It literally means nothing. Heaven forbid your favorite band not be honored amongst the likes of Madonna and ABBA.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

You mean "The Big Money," and it's pronounced "Peert," not "Pert" to those who didn't know...

We used to listen to Rush non-stop, along with Yes, as kids when we would play Dungeons and Dragons...the music still holds up for me 20 years or so later.
