I was wondering about the four connectors on the back of each bookshelf, i am not getting and voice out of the fronts on my system, is that because i need to have two wires coming from the bookshelf and then combine them into one connection for left and right front surrounds. they also came with a brass or gold looking metal jumper. I have RTi A3 fronts CS20 center pro 600 sub, FXi 4 rear and onkyo TXSR806 receiver

You need to have the jumpers in place to connect the L top and bottom and R top and bottom speaker terminals on the speakers unless you are bi-wiring or bi-amping. That method should be sufficient as there is no real evidence that bi-wiring improves speaker performance. A good separate amp will almost almost beat a receiver for sound quality.

The SR806 is a pretty nice receiver... lots of power. I think that should drive A3's no problem. As dragon1952 said, using the jumper will solve your audio problem there. I tried bi-amping with Monitor 70's and liked the sound with single wire and jumpers better. Some folks say the sound quality is better if you jumper the posts together yourself with good quality speaker wire instead of using the stock jumpers. I haven't tried that yet myself.

I meant "A good separate amp will almost always beat a receiver for sound quality". I usually proof-read:redface:
