Teflon has better dielectric properties. I prefer Teflon for its openness. Some prefer PVC. I feel that the mids and highs are slightly absorbed by this wire construction. I also prefer solid core wire to stranded for the same reason. Have you tried a google search for copper fast ons?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

You also will not melt Teflon when soldering it if you heat the wire too much; it's easier to work with.

I did the google search thing a couple months ago and really came up empty handed other than finding some that you could only buy by the thousands from China.

Street Wire made some in the standard 0.225 for car audio.

If you can locate some I am interested also. If you run into a larger minimum quantity buy, please email and we could split an order. I am talking a 100 though, not the 3000-5000 I found. I was looking for both the 0.105" and 0.210" size.

Not saying that they don't exist, but I haven't seen copper disconnects.

The best I could find is these: Constructed with Pure Copper, Tin Plated for Corrosion Resistance.(link below)
Id really like to come up with a way to solder some male disconnects to the Xover that I could just plug the females into and that way I wouldnt have to solder the binding post wires direct to the xover.(I really hate those molex plugs.)There a weak link in the chain.
Sure wish someone had the idea to produce some silver disconnects. Those would be da bomb.

If you aren't going to be monkeying with your crossovers much after the installation, soldering is a much better connection, and fairly easy to undo if you don't have to do it often. But, those gold plated connectors from Madisound look like the best of their kind if you want to go that route; gold over brass is actually more conductive than tin over copper.

I plan to solder the driver wires direct to the XO.The binding posts and IC are what Im concerned with.I dont really want to be soldering inside the box.
Im also waiting for those new Xover boards to become availible.I hope I can get them without the molex plugs presoldered to the boards.
And upgrade to the sonicaps from the daytons.

Soldering in the box isn't that bad. Do everything at once, and you'll only have to do it once.
