Upgrading an HTIB: Any ideas?
Hey all. I was just given an HTIB system by a friend who after seeing my home theater system decided to upgrade his own. It is a small Aiwa system, and I figure on placing it in my bedroom. Now I have no interest in a full and proper system here (I already have one in the living room) and I would only get $100 if I sold it on ebay. However, I would like to make it sound better. I am wondering if anyone has any upgrade suggestion I could make to it. (New speakers, Sub, wiring) I figure I am willing to spend about $90-100 on the whole project.
What I am going to use it for.
1. For TV-audio (Pro-logic) 55%
2. Music 40%
3. DVD 5%
I know that I will not be able to do a lot with that kind of budget--I was just hoping there is something I can do to improve it. That main thing is that the controls are not very good, the only bass-management I get is a 'subwoofer on/off' control. I am just really wounder how bad those little satellites are, and if there is anything I can do to improve things.
