Signal cables or mit exp1

Hello guys,

i am looking for some speaker cables and ic for my system, and came across signal cables and some mit exp1 on sale.

My system have evolved a little bit than what it says in my signature.

I am doing a double duty but made a little bit different.
Using the pio elite vsx23 for ht, and a separate two channel system using a rotel rc990 pre with rotel rb990bx amp and oppo 980 as source (audio mode only.

However both amps are connected to the front towers rtia7 and i am using a niles dsp1 amp selector. So when i want to hear to music only i just select the two channel rig.

So which in your opinion will be better for my system the signal cables ultra or the mit exp1. The exp1 are about 120 for a 10 foot run and the signal cables a little bit less, unless i buy the silver resolution.

Will i notice a change on the sound of my system, even though i am using an amp selector? I am looking for a clearer music system, i enjoy the towers and would like to upgrade around them for a while before the inevitable speaker upgrade whenever it may come.

I can say that the sound in music mode improved quantum leaps when i got the rc990.

Also should i get the same brand ic?

Sorry for the long post, any help will be very appreciated.

Regards,

eduardo

I bought some MIT EXp1s from Joe on Audiogon and was taken back by the quality of their construction -- look and feel solid. I don't want to instigate or participate in a debate of whether or not speaker cable makes an audible difference, but to me, they sound fantastic.

Never heard the other speaker cable, but I'm sure others that have will pipe in.

I'm happy with the Signals in my system at the point. MIT has a lot of fans on here too though.

Signal cables are good but IMO my front stage sounded closed up, MIT's really opened up that up along with tighter bass and better clarity..

Your experiance may vary but they did the job for me that I upgraded the Exp1's with shotguns!!!

I think that the Canare S411 cable would work very nicely in your rig. It's only $1.29 a foot in bulk.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

I've never hear MIT's, but Signal Cables are certainly quality cables that sound great.

However, if you can find Analysis-Plus cables used at a good price, you'll never look back (IMHO :-)
