Would like some advice as to the need to replace "passive radiator" in SDA 2B. I have contacted Polk Audio and they can provide drivers (MW6511/6503), however, cannot provide replacements for the passive radiators. Question: Is there a need to replace the passive radiators? As I understand, there may be a pressure/reflex test involved. Any help and assistance the form may offer would be appreciated.

Chances are very good that your PRs are in good operating condition. Since they don't receive an electrical signal they don't have a voicecoil and associated wear. Worst case scenerio, the rubber surround has a puncture/tear and won't allow the system to work as it should - sealed.
I have heard of the spider seperating from the center hub. Not sure what that would "sound" like.
The reflex test you were refering to involves quickly pressing in and holding the PR while watching the active drivers. If sealed properly, the active drivers will extend out and slowly return to the neutral position. With a poor seal, the active drivers will return almost immediately.
Have fun with it!

When doing this test how many seconds before the drivers completely quit moving and are back to their original position if the cabinet is properly sealed?
