It's official, the cassette tape is dead (in cars , anyhow)
Like me, you may not have realized they were still alive, but the cord has been pulled and all that reamins are the memories of mixtapes and finding the perfect pencil to wind the tape back in after your deck managed to disembowel it.

Head about it, here: http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/15/the-in-dash-tape-deck-is-dead-mixtape-memories-will-live-foreve/

Damn. I should have kept my 87 VW Fox with the cassette deck. It would have become a classic, and worth thousands, if not more.

Old people buy Lexus, old people still use cassettes.

My Dad has a Cassette deck in his mercedes and he still uses it!
I'm old people and I have a CD player in my car. Have many tape decks at home but they've been collecting dust for a few years already. Some old folks still use new technologies but I have to admit they have a hard time to part away with their old gear:wink: I have to admit I am a packrat
