I have a Pioneer vsx-515 receiver rated @ 110 watts per channel 7.1
Right now I have some old mid 90's speakers that came with my old receiver in a ht in a box.
I have just picked up a cs10 center & want the rest to match up well, Clean sound. I only turn up the receiver from -70db to -40db & -70db is mute
Now for the fronts tsi 300's with tsi 200's for rears
Or tsi 400's for the front & tsi 300's for the rears
Or tsi 300's for the fronts & tsi 100's for the rears
I have a 150 watt powered Yamaha 12" sub that rattles the walls so fronts will only be needed for mid bass & higher
I know the Polk speakers will greatly improve the sound but would like some feed back
Also the rears are on stands about 6" above the seating area, is that alright?
Would tsi 300's for rears sitting on the floor be too low?

I think the 300's for rears is overkill for your setup, I would use 400's or 300's front and 100's rear.

How good are the monitors compared to the tsi's?
Would 60's front & 50's for the rears?
The cs10 is a big improvement to the system

Monitor line became TSi. More a cosmetic makeover than anything. Same sound as far as I could tell.

You'll get more for your $$ that way.

I would go 300s/Monitor 50s front and 200s/Monitor 40s for the surrounds. If you want to crank it up in MC audio or a movie, the 100s/Monitor 30s might be a little weak and not match well with the fronts. Especially in a larger room.
Things are more like they are now than they ever will be!

I think I'm going to go with
60's for the fronts & 50's for the rears
Don't want any wall mount or speaker stands

Not ideal in my book, but should work nonetheless. The 50s as surrounds will actually be slightly lower than your mains, while ideal placement of a surround is 2 or 3 feet above a seated listeners ears. But, if you don't want to do it that way... it won't be the end of the civilized world.

I'm thinking of getting a new a/v receiver, mine is outdated no hdmi ports
Is a pioneer elite 32 or 33 worth the money? since it has pre outs
    Looking for less than $500
