I have a pair of black monitor 70s with a small dent on the rear corner of one. About thumbnail size and it was dented when shipped to me from newegg. They are broken in with about 3 months of use using a pioneer sx950. I have decided I want the cherrys instead so I need to sell these. What would be a fair asking price for them. I do have the original boxes.

Because these are both used and damaged it is kinda an uphill battle trying to get your money out of them with Newegg still selling with free shipping unless you find a local buyer.

I would try and sell them local somewhere between 2/3 and 1/2 the price that Newegg is asking for new. I don't believe, but may be wrong that the Polk warranty is transferable, also justifying the much lower cost.

Newegg is not your friend on the resale value here as O..3 points out. Also you need another 52 posts before you can sell them on this site?

    Take care.

For a local sale with the damage I'd say a fair price would be somewhere around 2 to 225 tops.

Thanks for the responses guys. I will try to sell them local because I figure no one is going to want to pay shipping. I didn't even see the damage on the speaker until I felt it. The wood does not even show (still black) but it is there. Maybe I can get $200 for them.... maybe not.

I'd say on craigslist $180 would sell em quick, or ask $225 and see if you get any offers. Worst case if someone emails you and offers less at $225 you can still sell em for 200ish.
