Simple Wiring Issue or just Dumb Wirer? :)

We have an LG8500 + LG 590 Blu Ray + Surroundbar 3000. The television has one audio optical output jack. The SB has one optical jack. The Blu-Ray has one optical jack. The Blu-Ray is currently connected to the TV via HDMI cable and to the SB via optical. How do we connect the TV to the soundbar - given that there are no other (on the TV) audio out jacks but the one optical? (There is an issue of synch/delay if we don't connect the blu-ray player directly to the SB.) This seems so simple! It is unclear if an optical switcher is what we need in this case. Thanks!
