First VH Flavor....
Did my first VH Audio style power cable today.
I used 12 ga. Military Spec. silver plated teflon insulated cable (this stuff is excellent for pc's!).
A REAL BEOTCH to make!
I twisted a pair, and then ran the ground in a counter rotation on the outside of the tube.
I used a cryoed Wattgate IEC, and Hubbell HBL8215c male plug.
I made another one (2conductor) for a CDP with Furutech Ag IEC, and Cu male.
Both sound excellent, but it is alot of damn work!
Its hard for me to believe Chris can run his star quad Flavor 4 in this configuration!

You cannot see that wire with the naked eye.
Not till you use the "flash" on a camera.Testing

I made a quad 4! I used olive oil for lube to pull the wires into the hose. It was a ****! But worth it. Very good cable for the money. I used copper furutech ends. Looking forward to the new cable from pepster. I'll have a herd of VH Audio cables.Main system: Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 w/ Pioneer 42" plazma-> Polk LSiM 703 w/Tivo, Marantz tuner, BRPTT: Nothingham Spacedeck-> Pioneer PL L1000 linear arm-> Soundsmith DL 103R-> SUT->Bottlehead ErosDigital: I3 PC w/ Jriver playing flac -> Sonore Ultrarendu -> Twisted Pair Audio ESS 9028 w/ Mercury IVY Vinyl rips: ESI Juli@24/192-> i3 PC server

I like the instructions on the Wattgate:Make sure the power cable is not connected to a power source before installing a plug or connector!Testing

Everything on this cable was brand new so it needs some "burn in".
Here is my "Ultra High Dollar" cable burner, combined with a heater (on/off/on/off/on.....).
I am asking $4500 (minus the pixie dust) EACH!
Please add $500 for the pixie dust.
If I could just figure out how to hook a 72v battery up to the damn thing!
Hey, the 20 amp has VH Audio and DH Labs internal wiring in it (theres $3500 right there!).
Both 15 amp and 20 amp (which "uncle pixie" prefers) work great for this.
If you are going to get on the power cable merry-go-round, you need a few of these.
Really, really, really hard to make, you should take some post graduate classes in theoretical space ship crap to attempt these!
Not only work wonders for burning in cables, but also just giving them a "run in",
show your cable who is boss!
Seriously a great thing to have if you are into cables.

Nice job on the cable burners. I also have a Flavor 1 and Flavor4.I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

I like the instructions on the Wattgate:
Sad thing is, there has probably been people who have done the opposite of that!

Pepster who is the vendor for the 12 ga. Military Spec. silver plated teflon insulated cable? Will you please post a link if you have one.
You have a lot of experience making your own cables. What makes this project ."A REAL BEOTCH to make!". Is it threading the wire through the VHS hose?
