Hookup Wire

Any recommendations for purchasable, reasonably priced hookup wire, preferably shielded (space is a little cramped inside the chassis and it will be difficult to separate the power and output lines) and not silver (I don't have the equipment to solder it)? Google picks up some recommendations, but it's all sold by the mile or so, and I only need a yard or three. Thanks.

I just bought a bunch of DH Labs BL-1 three conductor and shielded signal cable to use to wire my amp. It's stranded, silver coated wire that's very easy to work with and is purchased by the foot directly from DH Labs in Florida. I also picked up some non shielded wire from them for other runs, and am excited to hear the results.

Sonic Craft sells several brands (Cardas, DH, ect.).
I have read good things about the Neotech, but have not tried it myself.

Furutech makes great hook up wire. I'm not sure I've ever seen shielded hook up wire.

I have used Neotech hookup wire (mostly for power lines) and it seems very good. I bought some VH Audio Unicrystal OCC hookup wire for the analog and digtal lines in my DAC. It is very nice wire and I highly recommend it. Located here: http://www.vhaudio.com/wire.html

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Furutech hookup wire is great stuff if you dont need much.I was going to rewire my 2Bs with the alpha stuff but parts connection raised the price from 4.95 per foot to 40.00 + per meter.

    UPDATE
Now its down to 18.40 per meter for the 16 awg.Thats more resonable so Im considering it again.

I'm a big fan of Neotech. Cardas has a little more of a relaxed sound to it, but it's a PITA to work with.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Let me make sure I am asking for the right stuff before I buy anything, since I thought using shielded wire was pretty common. I'm building an amplifier and need wire to connect the transformers/inputs/binding post/switches to the PCB.

On my last tube amp, I used shield wire on runs past any transformers and it did make a difference. On that amp I used Canare L-4E6S Star Quad cable for the signal wire as it has a shielded and double twisted design; worked great for not being expensive.
