I am new to this, but let me give it a shot to see if I can help, and if not there are plenty of great folks on here who can. The phase switch on the back of the psw110 should have two settings, 0 and 180, right. It is my understanding that it is used to keep multiple subwoofers from conflicting with each other or to keep your sub "in tune" with the other speakers in your system. Typically if you are running just one sub the switch can be left at zero, although it could depend on your placement of the sub. I am currently running two subs in my set up, the psw125 and a psw110. I have them stacked on top of each other angled out of my front right corner and have both of the phase switches set to zero. I played with them to see if it made a noticeable differnece and in my case, I did not notice much of anything. If I were you, I would play some music that I was very familiar with and that also had good bass and listen to it with the phase at 0 and then again at 180 and see if your ears like it better one way or the other. When it comes down to it, it is your ears that have to decide anyway. Good luck and have fun.
