how to set crossover frequency in car audio

Hi to all,

I have polk db401 in front not connected to fosgate 2 channel amp. polk momommc690 is connected to back thro fosgate amp. my head unit pioneer. i have following questions

1) what is the best setting for hpf in head unit
2) best setting in amp-lp,hp or allpass

how to know whether gain setting and crossover frequency settings is right or not. if the settings are right, how to know it. if the settings are not right, then also how to know it. early reply is required.

    Keep the gain under the halfway point and adjust it til it blends well with the front speakers.

    Without a sub you should just leave the crossovers off and run them fullrange.
