A friend tries to sell me this good condition set for 700. is it a good deal?

Originally, I was looking at Polk on ebay for LSi9 for $700 shipped and the last time I bought a CSi5 from Polk, they sent me a brand new one, instead of refurb. Reason for Lsi9 is because I already have a good DefTech 250w 8" sub.

I will bi-amp them with the HK PA5800 5 channel amp that can do 110W WPC at 4ohms. is this enough? I am using a Sony v444ES as a pre, even though it can do like 120w @ 4ohms. Do I still need the Deftech sub if I get the Lsi15?

Some run LSI-9s without a sub for music. This would also apply to LSI-15s. However for HT you'd need a sub with both speaker set-ups.

700 is a sweet price for the 15s!

700 does sound like a good price... I've been looking and I have not seen lsi15s that cheap yet, so if that's something up your alley, you should do it.
