I think I will stick with sealed.
Right now I was planning on doing 2 pieces of wood in the front and recess the driver. Should I add a 3rd?
I am going with 3/4 MDF since its cheaper and the box will not be visible. I was just planning on using strips of wood to brace the box. vertically and horizontally.
i will cover the front face with some veneer or something that can be stained to match the cabinet. -
You should really reconsider a thicker baffle. In case you're worried about having to purchase an extra sheet, HD and Lowes sell small pieces of MDF too."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

so 2 sheets of 3/4 mdf would not be enough for the front baffle.. I dpnt mind doing a 3rd.

I don't know how I missed that sentence of your post, two .75" sheets will be fine for the front baffle."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
