Here is a link to a new lineup of 250v Clarity Cap ESA:

I wonder if Madisound will distribute these?

    Thanks for the heads up.

You can email Madisound and ask them. They generally don't list new items up for sale on their website until they're available.

Do you think there's going to be all that much difference in quality from the regular ESA?

Probably just lower voltage and a smaller size.

I wonder how they'll compare to the regular ESAs in regards to sound

The will most likely sound that same as they will be using the same materials, but will just be physically smaller and a little cheaper.

The skills of reading comprehension seems to be a lost art these days.
ClarityCap’s 630V and 250V ESA models result from a two-year research program on the audible effects of improved control over mechanical resonance(microphonics) in a metalized film capacitor. ESA employs a non-standard polypropylene film, hand-soldered copper terminals, and insulated solid-copper lead-outs. The case is silver with black end caps.

The compact and inexpensive form factor of 250Vdc ESA makes it well suited for stand monitors and space-constrained inboard PCB crossovers.

Emailed Madisound and Brian was not sure if he would be carrying these because of the increased inventory carrying cost given all the choices already available.

I would assume if he received feedback or desire for orders that would help sway the decision. I have ordered from Parts connexion before. Shipping was kinda expensive though and the cost was unknown when I placed the order until I got their email quote.
