New MONITOR 70II
Hello,
First post here.
I purchased a set of MONITOR 70II's and a TSi CS20 today. I have them hooked up and I'm liking the improve over my older polks.
My question is whether or not a break-in period is required with these new speakers, and if so, what is the procedure to do so?
I appreciate any and all replies!
Thanks,
Jim

Your mileage may vary, but my 70's sounded great out of the box with little or no break in period. I think your ears need more of a break in period than your new speakers...lol

WELCOME TO CLUB POLK!
spock is on the mark. I also have a pair of M-70s and they sounded 'good' out of the box and even a little better after 50-100 hours of play at mid-level volumes.
The one thing I would caution you on is NOT to overdrive the tweeters (clip) them during a break-in period. A number of individuals have blown M70 tweeters out of the box by ramping up the volume on an AVR that clips too easily? Be careful and you'll be happy later on!
