advice on subwoofer

Hey everybody,
I am looking to upgrade my subwoofer and I was hoping I could get some help for the forum. I have used the forum for advice in the past and I always get good advice here.
Right now I have a 10" infinity subwoofer that runs at about 150 watts RMS. I don't feel like it has enough power for my current system and I would really like to upgrade. I use my system for about 70% HT, 20% gaming, 10% music.
Here is what I have now.
AVR: onkyo TXNR1007
Amp: Emotive XPA-5
Fronts: Polk RTI-A9
Center: CSI-A6
Rears: 4 FXI-4
Sub: infinity 10"
It looks like a lot of people on the forum recommend SVS or HSU subs. I like the PB12-plus, but I'm afraid that will be over kill for my set up. Would I be better off going that route or going with PB12-NSD? Should I go with a polk subwoofer? Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

What is your budget for this upgrade? From what I understand, there is no such thing as overkill for a sub. I have been looking at subs for a few weeks now, and I think I'm pretty much dead set on one, but have to wait for it to be in stock again. I know that in my room my choices are not so much limited by budget, but by size, make sure you take that into consideration, as I have a few options in my budget but will be too large. From what I've read the PB12-NSD seems to be a great performer. Good luck!

I would prefer to keep it around 750, but I would be willing to go up to 1,600. My living room is fairly large (20x20) and I want something that is going to fill up that space without overdoing it. I live in a rural area, so demoing subs it out. I also have to consider the wife. If the PB12-plus is going to be so lound the wife complains, I might need to go with something less powerful. No point in having a sub that nice if I can't turn it up.

I would recommend this sub based on the last 3 months I have spent with it. Wait until it drops to $350 again. Or are you looking for more power, this thing fills my downstairs with bass, placement didn't seem that important, but also the ceilings are rather low too. I have yet to find a negative review on it.
I also agree with no such thing as overkill for a sub, you just turn the settings down and it isn't overkill anymore.Polk CS1 Series II
