put new drivers in some monitor 10a about a year ago and then ending up getting some other speakers so never really used them. took them out last night for a listen and one speaker produces lovely sound and the other has no bass at all - mids and tweeter work fine but no bass at all. I did the push in woofer test and yes the drivers respond by moving so it seems airtight. I was setting here at work wondering what to try tonight. first thing I will switch the wires to the speakers on red/back on back to see if that does anything. If that dosent work then I suppose I could have wired the drivers out of phase to each other in the cabinet? black wire should go to what on the driver? and white wire should go to what? I recall the drivers had a painted spot next to each terminal I believe.

Make sure you hooked the drivers up properly internally. Black is positive, white is negative.

Also, how long do the drivers stay extended if you push and hold the PR? If they return to their resting place quickly while you're still holding the PR in, you've got air leak issues.
    Ludicrous gibs!

Memontarily connect a 1.5 battery to each speaker, Batt+ to red speaker+ terminal and - to -. Assuming the speaker that sounds good is in phase, note which way the MW cones move. Do the same to the other speaker and verify all the cones move in the same direction. The PR should move opposite.

fixed it. one of the drivers was wired correctly and one not so they where canceling each other out. swaped the wires on the one that was incorrectly and now I get nice sound. imagine that
