SDA SRS 2.3 TL's- good price at $850?

Hello folks-
I'm a relative newbie to the high end market, and although my home theatre 7.1 setup is nice (RT800i fronts, RT55i side rear, RT15i's rear rears, CS350LS center), I've come across a local gent selling his SDA SRS 2.3 TL's for $850. I've read pretty much every post the polk search engine can find on the 2.3 TL's and I think this is a good price *if* all the tweeters are operable. Does anyone object? Secondly, having zero experience with the SRS series and the intracacies of their design, what negatives should I look for when inspecting the speakers? Don't assume I know a damn thing about these massive speakers and we should be on the same page
I'm thinking about driving these monsters with a Sansui G9700. Any issues with enough power? Anyone have experience with matching SRS's to older Sansui receivers?
Lastly, any negatives about using the 2.3TL's as front speakers in a 7.1 matchup? I'd like to keep the RT800is as surround speakers b/c I love the cherry wood, but I'm concerned about awful timbre match. Any/all opinions appreciated.

I've got the same setup - roughly.
SDS-SDA 3.1TL's for fronts. And, RT800i for rears.
WORKS GREAT ! ! !
Please make certain that the 2.3's come with the interconnect cable.
As far as the Sansui goes... 200WPC is enough... but, remember, the 2.3's can take up to 750WPC. So, although your source is adequate, its not nearly reaching the potential of these speakers.
The only difference between the 2.3TL and the 3.1TL is that the 2.3TL is a bit bigger and has one extra driver and (I think) one or two more tweeters.
Both speakers utilize the famous Polk SDA effect.

You are a lucky man. If they are in good shape, $850 is a damn good price. Go for it and build from there.
