I saw him last year. He was amazing, especially for a 70-something year old guy. I wish I had that much energy, and he's got 45 years on me.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

He'll talk more than he plays, but he's a legend, so he gets cut slack on that matter.

Agreed. Saw him about 4 years ago at the Chesapeake Bay Blues Fest but the performance got shortened by rain. Sorry, I couldn't get the whole performance but what he played was great.

The term "living legend" gets way over used but, in reference to Buddy Guy,it fits.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

He's just super !! Saw him a couple times at Stubbs here.He came down in the crowd still playin & sweatin his arse off.The second time I wasn't paying attention to where he was cause I was taking in the "other" sites of the crowd & turned around & he was right beside me.He's just to cool.

He just played Wed-Sun for the whole month of January in Chicago at his club "Buddy Guy's Legends" and I was trying to coordinate a trip in with friends to see a show but the weather was a real issue.

His club is small, there is no assigned seating and it's first come first serve and in many instances there were lines out front 2-3 hours before the doors opened at 4PM. So I'm about 1.5 hours from Donwtown Chicago. So I'd have to leave about 11AM to stand in line for 2-3 hours out in the cold, get inside and seated at 4PM and sit for 5 hours when he hits the stage at 9PM or later.

It just wasn't doable for the $60/person they charge. I would have loved to see him in that intimate setting. He has become one of my all-time top 3 guitar players. The guy is just incredible.
