I own a Denon 890 and have been quite please with it. The 791 is one step down in amp section and lost some legacy connections but does allow 3d which mine does not. I would advise to step up to any model that has pre-outs for adding an amp down the road in cause you ever get the urge to upgrade to greater power. That is my greatest reget w/ the Denon is that I know I'll be looking for a pre and an amp in the not so distant future.2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer.

http://www.avindemand.com/index.php/pioneer-vsx-1120-k.html You can still get the 1120 here for a good price. I had the 1910 and it was a good receiver but I think the 1120 is a definite improvement.
