I just watched it.....I like her voice, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that show, but the song was too soft as opposed to strong.......if that makes sense.......

How can you admit that in public (that you love Glee) ????

    looked like a cheap hooker.

I don't even think Charlie Sheen would pick her in a cattle call lineup

worse souperbowl i've seen in a long time... hated it.. from the effed up National Anthem.. that should have been a clue right there that this was going to be a bust all the way around.

game was so so, halftime was horrible.. commercial spots were LAME.. prob the worst in a long time. just not funny... to many spots for upcoming flicks. i won't watch it anymore.

Bluntly, Aguilera blew the lyrics, sounded horrible, and looked like a cheap hooker.

    Awful, just awful.

Very tired of the vocal gymnastic exercises in place of the SSB. It's a disrespectful display of self-indulgent idiocy.

Thank you. The song is challenging enough as written without people trying to "make it better."

Pre boob job , pre hooker phase she was a very sexy girl...hell I even like em with meat on their their bones so the extra weight doesnt bother me. She would still be extremely sexy with the extra boobage/curves from just becoming a mother, but the silicone and shopping at hookers R us went over the top.

And I'd still tap as well

Pityful. Her voice was bad, she left out half a verse, etc, etc.

When will singers stop adding 12 syllables to every word?

...and while I'm ranting, who ever said the Black Eyed Peas were Super Bowl worthy? There are Idol rejects that sing circles around "Fergie."

Yes the Black Eyed Peas are the least talented group of people to ever step on a Super Bowl halftime stage....and thats including the stage hands

As for the National Anthem, I wish they'd stop using pop stars. Stop trying to "make it your own"! This isn't a cover of a Beatles song! It's not sung for entertainment! Way too much blood has been shed for this country from the Revolutionary War to those serving in the middle east now. Sing the song the way it was written and intended to be sung and give it the respect it deserves for what it represents.

Trash such as C.A. should not be able to walk onto the same field as our Military and Honor Guard...let alone try to present our National Anthem.

I agree with the person who posted earlier - the Star Spangled Banner is a difficult song to sing. If you're not a singer, and have never tried it, you won't understand. Most of the song moves by leap, all around the scale, it changes key, it's both low and high and requires a huge range to sing it. That being said, if you don't know the words to the song, you don't belong. Okay - people make mistakes, so let's chalk that one up to a mistake. She still sounded like butt. No excuses. Just because you're a big name, you can dance, other people write songs that you can scream in a studio a million times and they are edited to make sound good, and you look good in a skirt, doesn't mean you should be allowed to sing in public. Who does the auditions? You could have found a college student studying music that could have done 10 times better to my ears. But, that's just me. Man I'm opinionated today, but as a musician, this bugs me.

That's a tad dramatic. Everyone who sings it in their own voice is going to put their own "spin" on it; if they don't change the words or rhythm, adding a little flair isn't that egregious an error to me. Forgetting the words, on the other hand... I want to give her a break because I'm sure I'd pee my pants if I was singing in front of 100 million people worldwide, but... man, that was lame.

What a stupid comment. What's Christina's worst offense, being "trashy"? Big whoop. A good chunk of the people on the field are actual criminals. The quarterback of the Steelers is a rapist. And you're gonna get your panties in a bunch over someone who's ****?
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Bob,I would not use the word stupid to discribe a comment made by you...I was just speaking my mind.

Not wanting to turn this into a political rant.

You should, I make stupid comments all the time.

And if the world judges us on a singer before a sporting event, I think that says more about the world than it does about us.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I seriously doubt rest of the "World" gives a s@#t about how some pop singer performed our national anthem before a sporting event...even if it is the SB. Most of them have more pressing issues to deal with...like life in general.
