I can't give you a first hand account of the 800's but I have the 70's since Christmas and they just keep getting better and better. I love them and would only trade them in the a pair or RTi9's.

I have heard good things. I could be wrong on this but someone said the RT800's are compareable to the new rt series. So i wanted to make sure i wasnt taking a step backwards. But the current price on the monitor 70's is unreal. And the deal ends on the 8th so if they will be better then mine then i want to jump on the deal!

That's what I paid for one, and 169 for the other from the same company (I love eggs). The deals are always good there for most items.

I have the 800's and I had the monitor 60's. I like the Monitor series better honestly, however I like the Rti series better than both of them. I don't think you'd be disappointed.

Awesome. My towers are old. So i would like to check the monitor 70's out. Newegg has some killer deals. I think i am going to jump on the Monitor 70's. I cant afford the RTi series. After purchasing the tv and ps3 and a bunch of other little stuff. Otherwise iw ould buy the RTi's. Thanks for everyones help.

BRUN i also see you have the PSW505's. I am going to buy that as well. $229 and free shipping on Newegg. How do you like it? I currently have the PSW140 (older sub). Is it worth the purchase to get the 505?

I love it! I ran one for almost a year before I got my 2nd. One is plenty, it does everything I need it to and I have a pretty big room. It'll sound good next to those 70's.

Awesome. We have a huge open 1st floor with vaulted ceilings that are 2 stories high. So the 140 i think is too small. It does a decent job but i want a bigger sub. I am going to go broke redoing the ht. Once i get enough posts i can list my towers, sub and old surround as well!

I just got the monitor 70's last week from Newegg and I love em. My buddy has RTi A5's and while there is a slight difference with high range clarity, they are certainly worth it considering they are about a third of the price. Lot's of nice mid-range and excellent bass extension.
