After selling my monitor 5's the other day I have only one pair of Polk speakers left!:eek: at one time I had 8 pairs! I have done just about all I want to do with Polk speakers. My 2.3tl's are all that is left and I will keep those. They are some of the most unique sounding speakers I have ever owned. The only other ones I would consider is the 1.2tl's but would have to find a hell of a deal on them or the 3.1 maybe the 1c's but have to find a steal of a deal on them as well. I am trying to figure out where I want to go from here.
I really like the Carver AL III + and someday want to try the BG ribbon's in them. I am really content with what I have now but know some day the bug will bite again.

    Yeah I am in the same boat as far as buying more polk speakers. But I am keeping the sets of SDA's that I have for awhile, but I have a lot of money invested in them to let them go "just yet".. I have even quit looking on ebay and craigslist for polk speakers,I have plenty of spare parts to get me by for a very long time..

    My next speaker purchase will not be Polk!!! if I hadn't purchased a new car I would already have something different. any big changes I had for my system are on hold for awhile, but I am very happy with what I have right now,and it is also nice just to sit and enjoy my system and not be thinking what can I do next..

    Well larry, as soon as you are finished with the 1.2s let me know when I can swing by and pick them up. Include some other gear and we can make a package deal for say... $500

    With all of that said Kevin, I'm glad you decided to part with the 2.3's.:biggrin: You'll have to let us all know how BG ribbons sound in those AL 3's.

    it will be some time before I have the $1300 to shell out on that one now that I spent $1200 on drums, lol

    I almost have owned every one of Polk audio's vintage speaker line. I had 3 sets of monitor 7's over the years and now have none. I'm on the look out this year and if I have money and see a decent pair, they're comin home to the Polk museum of SE-NC. I need a pr. of monitor 4 also...:redface:
    Maybe a pr. of Monitor 12's too.

    I've had alot of sets over the years and have downsized soooo much now that's it's amazing to think back at what I've owned. And mostly all at one time..LOL.
    Just like GeorgeGrand..:wink: We've heard ALOT of styles in our own homes!!:biggrin:

    Polk got me re-started in audio again with that Monitor 10 design.That sound moved me to listen to my CD collection all over again.All of the CD collection.

    I have other Manufacturers' speaker designs I'll die owning also but I owe all I have in audio now to that Monitor 10 purchase and audition in my man-cave. There was no other audio in it except a nice Fisher system.
    Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
