I looked all day today (after work ofcourse) for articles on how to set up turntables and cartriges. I was thinking maybe I could make up a little manual on it for very low cost. Would anyone be interested and if so for how much??? In any case I could at least post all the links for free. There is quite a bit of stuff on this topic!

How about a link for us and sell the manuals to the unlucky ones on ebay;).

Here are a few links I found...

Most of them are getting at the same things but I picked up a little something from each. The first one I just thought was interesting.

#2 reads pretty good (and sounds damn familiar, even if I do say so myself...). Visually adjusting anti-skate is in my experience difficult and less acurrate than the audible means I suggested.
I never went into VTA adjusting because so few stock arms include this capability. And while some aftermarket arms do, many more employ shimming to get the angle right...
BTW, the sources of what I've learned have been TT manuals and instructions that come with cartridges. Shure has always done a great job of explaining cartridge installation. They also used to (and still may) include test records in the sale of their V-15 line of cartridges.More later,
