Everyone get ready for computers to take over! Monday - Wednesday week after next IBM's supercomputer 'Watson' is going to be taking on the two most winning Jeopardy players. I know I'm excited to see this, check it out!

    What's it going to say when Alex asks it a stupid question about some odd personal tidbit as he does the other players?

    All I can say is....boring. I was really hoping it would be better than it turned out.
    If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

    Yeah, it kinda came off as mostly a publicity stunt for IBM, but it is impressive that IBM was able to accomplish as much as it did with the language processing and whatever algorithms they used to come up with its answers. It seemed early on like it might have had an advantage in pure mechanical reaction time with ringing in. I'll definitely tune in to see what happens the next couple days.

    Watson has come a long way. The algorithm's used is mind blowing. Data mining and especially text analytics has grown a lot. The ability to understand slang and word usage requires many great minds to put together and have a machine understand. Business intelligence software has taken leaps in the past decades. Implementing Association Rules, to Neural Networks and further confusing you with Confusion Matrices as well as Type 1 and 2 errors, intelligence mining goes on and on. Plus 1 to those IBM'ers!!!!

    Watched it tonight. The whole Watson thing was impressive. Scary impressive.

    Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.
