Center Channel Upgrade

Hi,

I want to upgrade my center channel speaker. I notice dialogue in movies tends to get drowned out. Here is my current setup. I probably will not upgrade the other speakers for a while. Which Polk would you recommend?

Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR607 (Looking to upgrade as well)
Fronts: Polk Monitor 40s
Center: Polk CS1
Sides: Polk Monitor 30s
Surrounds: Polk RM6751
Sub: Premiere Acoustic PA-120

    It's a huge step up from the CS1 to the CS2. I had the 1 and sent it back and got the 2 and have been very happy ever since.

    I just bought a cs20 after doing a lot of research, got a good price on it so I thought Id give it a shot. Heard nothing but good things about it.

    Guess it depends on how much you want to spend ha

    Newegg has the CS20 for $150 I see, but all my speakers are black and they only have the cherry. Polkdirect have refurbed CS2s on eBay. Probably can get them for $120 or so.

    You can get the CS2 bk from the egg for 129 new.

    Thanks. Will do. Now I just need to find a deal on the Onkyo HT-RC270 or Pioneer VSX-1120-K. My receiver needs to be sent in for repair, but I will probably fix it and sell it.

    I agree with everyone about upgrading your center channel. I would consider investing in a SPL meter. RadioShack sells an analog and a digital version, $45 and $50 respectively. Getting your volumes matched up right can make a night & day difference in your experience, and it never hurts to have one around for the occasional project or when swapping in new speakers to your current setup.

    You should be very pleased with the cs2 its a step up from the cs1 and is a good timbre match to your 40's. I personally like the way my cs2 sounds in my setup. Congrats and welcome to Club Polk.

    Hope you will be pleased, I have the CS1 and am just about ready to ebay it and upgrade to the CS2. Would love to hear your impressions once it arrives.

    I went from a C10 to a CS20 and its a huge difference,alot better dynamics and sound @ a lower volume..But now im wanting a CSi6 to match my Rti10's
