Well, I figured I would post these for those of you considering adding a HT room. This is a basement room I finished off a couple of years ago for a playroom, but never got much use as such due no HVAC prior to these pics.
First pic is the wall for screen - 80" Focupix. The built-in area is where a door used to be. Built in will be used to house sub, center, amp, and DVR via stock adjustable shelves. I want this room as 'clean looking' as possible.
Second pic is of mount for projector and outlet I had to install. Idea behind mount is to attempt to isolate vibration in the ceiling above via the foam padding sandwiched between the wood blocks. The wood blocks screwed together just enough to be sturdy while not crushing the padding.
Third pic is the adjacent gear room. One box for audio cables, one for video, and one outlet for power conditioner. Also in pic is my re-habbed Goodwill audio rack.
Forth pic is back of wall of gear room. I went ahead and used 10awg on a single circuit just for all the gear, which happened to be last circuit left in my breaker box.
Fifth pic is of back of built-in. The only reason I used so many supports is for the pegs of the adjustable shelves. The black material is the flexible mat material you see used for exercise equipment, cut to size. I will hear about this one eventually. I also added an outlet just for the remote controlled projector, which is separate from the 10awg circuit for gear.
I'll post pics of the finished project, as I am actually pretty close to finishing

Nice work, it should look great when it's finished. I hadn't considered any sort of isolation for my ceiling mounted PJ...luckily there are no noticeable vibrations. Are you anticipating vibrations or just making sure you won't have any?

Since the ENTIRE house is stick built, and the floor joists are 2 x 8s (or maybe they are 2x10s) vs. steel beams or engineered beams, there are noticeable vibrations when the kids run / jump above the room. I don't actually have the PJ yet, but I am between the Epson 8350 and 8500 / 8700.
I am leaning toward the 8350 due the screen is on the small size for a PJ and I am going to need to invest in longer IC's (wo is me!)
