I have a Harmon Kardon 3490 2X120W receiver. I would like to match it with a pair of Polk speakers for music listening via turntable and cd player. I have 3 Polk speakers that I'm interested in; Monitor 70 series 2, TSi 500, and RTi A7. Which do you think matches better with the HK receiver in a medium sized room for music listening?

Too many variables to tell.. But i believe the A7's are the latest. They look thebest too. cherry.
I have the A9's and am completely happy and frequently amazed. The A7's should be close. Just my opinion. Others may have their own OPINION to share.

The HK will pair fairly well with the RTi series for music. That's the best speaker of the three and can be "bright", but HKs seem to neutralize that, IMO. Similar to what I have and I've been very satisfied. YMMV!

    WELCOME TO CLUB POLK!

I've run Rti bookshelves off of that same HK receiver and they still sound bright? One way to tone that down would be to add a SUB. For some reason the highs are less pronounced when there is MORE low end? Perhaps someone else can explain that.
