Anyone have a good free site to lookup prices for used gear online? Audiogon has one but you have to pay for it.

I don't know of any other besides Audiogon and using Ebay or forums to see what things are going for. Might not help you much if you're looking into obscure stuff.

I just google around with "price" in my query.. I can usually piece it together from what other people have charged the last few years on other forums, etc

U can login in to your ebay account and do a search first to see if there are
listings out there. Then do a search again only with "advanced" go down the list and select "completed" listings..then search..
It only goes back a relatively short length of time I think...but you will get an "idea" for current demand and prices.
    I use it frequently

thats what i typically use. but it doesnt work for obscure items. i have yet to find my Altec's to pop up on ebay at all, or my amp. if you cant get it sold at the price you have it, you're too high for the current market. lower the price until you start getting interest on CL, and typically that is "fair market value" for CL, and typically a bit higher for Ebay. check audiogon for listings as well. audiogon is usually a bit higher IMO, but people do use it frequently.

what are you wanting to sell Dan?

i will not pay for audiogon bluebook.

More of wanting to be able to track gear when I see it....like the Carver amp on CL, or LSi's, ect.

If its someone on here selling I wont bother checking since I trust most folks here....

i see what you are saying. u can always text me, and i can try to give you an idea on value's. unfortunately cosmetic condition seems to be a deciding role anymore for a lot of people. if its not perfectly minty fresh from 1992 they dont want it or want the price cut in half. ugh, this hobby can be a headache sometimes lol

Audio Review.com is a good site. Not as high class as AudioGon but it has some of the lower priced goods that it and others don't.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
