I don't know how this managed to go over 5 days without a single bite, but this is a screamin deal (considering that he doesn't apparently even have a reserve price built in)

Weird, he registered almost two whole years ago. No comments since then. Oh well. I agree, sounds too good to be true.

If you never bought anything because it sounds too good to be true, then you'll never get any deals. Sure, he could screw you, but if you have a decent email conversation with someone, you can usually figure out pretty quickly what they are up to. If you are interested in an LSi setup, you should go ahead and contact the guy. Besides, if you've got the dough to shell out for a high end home theater, it's not like you are going to be at risk for starvation if you lose out on $1400 bucks.
Im sure there are horror stories out there, but I just sent 500 bucks to a guy who I found on ebay with zero feedback, and it was for a transaction that didnt go through ebay (i.e. no support if it goes sour) I just got the items and they work like a charm. If you want a deal, you gotta take a risk. -
I beg to differ somewhat.. But it's all about how much risk your willing to take, maybe he's a great guy or girl selling the Lsi's and just doesn't have a digital camera to take real pictures.. who knows// and i don't think if someone on this board "could" afford to buy lsi's that they "could " afford to lose the $1400.00 either way. Just my take......MY HT RIG:

I agree about the deals and I too have bought multiple items with no recourse. The best ones were sending $1500 to a PO box after someone emailed me that he also had the same item I had bid on and lost. Even the PO box had a different name than what the seller wanted a bank check made out to. Amps arived in perfect condition with some helpful notes written down on where to put the tubes! (I must admit that one had me a little edgy for a few days). Another was sending $1300 to some guy in Hawaii for a preamp I saw on audiogon. He had no feedback and couldn't accept paypal like he said he could. He compromised though and sent the item the same day I mailed him a check. Either one of us could have screwed over the other.
Then again, there is the time I lost $100 on a speaker deal gone bad. Of course that was all in fun though. Oh yea, and one time an item was damaged in shipment. Well, fedex reimbursed the guy after I did all the paperwork and then he kept the money! Oh well, overall you still make out big time if you keep at it.

I've been rolling this auction around in my head (it sounded like a spray paint or empty Boddington's can) for the last few days actually. I too am in the area and could do a pickup. This is the only way I would considering the lack of actual pictures and feedback.
Sorry to confuse.Make it Funky!
