Hello Gents.

I am currently running a Rotel CDP 1072 CD player. I have been reading alot about the possible upgrades to this player. i.e. Clock upgrades, opamp upgrades and output stage cap upgrades.

Has anyone tired this on the Rotel specifically, or any other in this price range ??? Was it worth the money ?? I know some guys have done a great job on higher end tube models but I like this CD player and the upgrades don't seem that expensive.

These are some links to several sites about the upgrades.

Any hints to what to avoid and what worked in your sysytem ???

Thanks as always.

Tony

What OpAmps are in the player from the factory? I previously upgraded the opamps that were stock in a Shanling CDP with OPA627BP op amps on brown dog adaptors. The improvement was very worthwhile. I still have the OPA627s though the Shanling is now gone.

A little goes a long way when cleaning up the analog section. Some better OpAmps PS caps and removing electrolytics from the signal path went a long way. Take a look over at DIYaudio.com for mod suggestions.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben
