Need something comparable to SDA1

Newbie here. I have an original pair of SDA1's which just experienced some serious water damage -- mostly to the exterior wood veneer. But I need to file a claim with my insurance for the damage. Since the speakers have not been produced for awhile, it would be helpful to come up with some 'comps.' Thus, I'm asking for input for suggestions on what Polk speakers made today would be comparable to the SDA1's, at least form and function-wise so I can share with my insurance adjuster.
All responses are greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your speakers, but if you experienced your SDA's the way they were meant to be heard....only thing I can recommend is another pair of SDA's (available on the used market only).
You could give other types of speakers a try, but that depends on your application and associated gear.
Btw, welcome to CP!Truck setup

I suggest that you claim that the LSi 15s are a comparable speaker and the settlement funds from those will let you chose the actual LSi15s or, buy some replacement SDAs.

I have owned the polk sda 1 since i bought them new in 1986.truly an amazing speaker for clarity and sound stage....a few years ago i looked for a new set of speakers that could live up to the polks.....after visiting many high end stores...i bought a set of "definitive technology bp2002" bipolar array speakers...and found that they sounded quite similar in a side by side test in my music room.....i paid almost 1800 for them. been very satisfied with them ever since....now it seems that they have that line of speaker in best buy ( believe it or not) in there high end magnolia room.....they dont make the bp2002 any more but the newer line is still very comparable in quality. i think its the 7000 and 8000 series of loadspeakers. worth a look ,i think you would agree how good they sound...as for my polks ,i still have them and enjoy them in my man cave in the basement..good luck

After the claim is settled, you could part out those speakers and make some extra $$ off them, the 6.5" speakers & the passive radiators should be salvaged to give new life to others.
