Over at Amazon it's half price. $12.99

You get the CD and the audio DVD. Dvd audio disc format is 5.1 DTS, 5.1 Dolby Digital and PCM and plays on any DVD player. (The DVD also has the advanced resolution DVD-A layer, but you require a player that plays DVD-A.)
I have the set and the CD is one of the best sounding cd's that I have. The 5.1 multi-channel tracks on the DVD are done exceptionaly well, (DVD is just music, no film material) and stands up to some of my multi-channel SACD's.
If you are curious about multi-channel music give it a try. This is a must have CD/DVD.

Got the 180g vinyl import from Holland. It's a great piece although some purists snub their noses at it. Next time we're in Vegas, we plan on seeing the show. None of the Cirque du Soleil's we've seen have disappointed us. Love is said to be excellent.

Mike, it's OUTSTANDING, and I'm not even a fan. We saw it last year when we stayed at the Mirage. I've seen alot of shows in Vegas, this is in the top 3.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Source: Rotel CD14MkII CD Player - Speakers: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -

I have the this and think the DVD-Audio version is fantastic. I mostly play it in my car, which has a nice DVD-a system (Acura), and it sounds very real. There is a lot of detail, and a very nice soundstage. Vocals are especially present and sound very lifelike. It's definitely worth owning. -
My parents saw it and loved it. Dad has the DVD-A as the Acura TL can play it. But had to make a 5.1 DTS CD version for him when he got his 335i.Dali Optikon 1Mk2

Praz, did you rip it and put it on CD somehow? If so, what did you use to do that? I have some other DVD-As that don't have a companion CD and would love to be able to listen to them on other gear. -
If you want a DTS Surround CD that will play in dvd / blu-ray players:
- use DVD-Audio Extractor to rip the MLP tracks to individual 16bit / 44khz wavs (6 wavs for each track - one wav for each channel)
- use Surcode DTS encoder and create 5.1 ch DTS wav files (not just multich wav files)
-- this step is a little time consuming, as you have to add in each of the 6 wav files for each track but it works.
-- also you need to make sure you set the encoder to audio mode or it will make movie type DTS files (higher bitrate, not compatible with DTS CD).
- burn the wav files as an audio cd as you normally would.
- Done!
Also - my Denon receiver can play those .wav files over the network in 5.1 (sees DTS), so if you have a networked receiver that is a possibility.
If you simply want a down-mixed CD sourced from the original MLP files, you'd follow the same first step. But you would just change the target parameters:
- CD: There's a CD image / cue option (so stereo, 16bit 44khz)
- FLAC: Whatever format you'd like. For the Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms DVD-A, I created 24bit 96khz stereo FLAC files for use w/ my Squeezebox Touch.
PM me if you have any specific questions

Check out 'O' next time if you haven't already. Best show I've seen, hands down.
We've seen the O show..it's one of the other top 3. Mama Mia/Phantom of the Opera tie for 3rd.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Source: Rotel CD14MkII CD Player - Speakers: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
