I came across a pair of polk sda srs 2,each speaker have 6 mid,3 tweeters and the 15" woofer, the drivers configuration is exactly the same as the 2.3 model, the cabinet size is same as 2.3,the only difference that I can see is:of the 6 mid,2 of them look different than the other 4,they do not have the dust cap cover and they're flat.I never see anything like that. They do have the pin/blade IC cable..I did some research and find out that the sda srs 2 only come with 4 mids and 2 tweeters +woofer, and the cabinet look substantially smaller than the 2.3.
I'm so confuse now:what exactly are those monster, anybody ever seen anything like that.

Top and bottom MW drivers have goofy-looking inserts?
SDA SRS 2.3.
The SRS 2.3 TL has a set of drivers that all look the same, (conventional) and a different crossover.
The older SDA SRS 2 (not the 2.3) has the same four (not 6) MW drivers and nearly identical crossover to the SDA 1B (blade/blade version) or SDA 1C (pin/blade version) -

You can check the pictures in this thread to compare with the "donut" drivers. I have not heard the tl so I can't help with the second question. -

First guess: 98% the same given the same room, same placement, and same equipment driving them.

Thats how its labeled on the back of the speaker so the seller might not know what they have or how much they are worth?
Could be a good thing -
You're going to love those speakers!!! I have the same 2.3's and have zero TL envy. Had help from Forum guys here for a tweeter\driver or 2 and polyswitch instructions. Everyone was very helpful. Great group of people. Enjoy.

The guy want $380 for them, the speakers look dirty, been sitting in the garage for a year, cloth grilles need to be replaced, logo are missing, few nicks at the edges of cabinets, couple dust covers are pushed in,they do come with IC cable.I think they do worth the price but will required lot of work(mostly cleaning ) to make them look nice. -
If cleaning is all they need don't hesitate. However, is there any way you could listen to them? If they are that dirty, chances are they were never taken care of properly and other things could be damaged like blown drivers, tweeters, bad xovers...
They could be totally fine but I would want to make sure there wasn't any serious internal damage first. Not that it wouldn't be a good project speaker at that price.
Flason is right, they are great speakers but also, make sure you have room for them to sing -
