I'm waiting for NF on this one. Loved the first one, was disappointed in the 2nd...looked like a made for TV version. Come to find out it was. The concept was to release the first book as a major motion picture with all the trimmings. The 2nd and 3rd books were to be a 9 hour mini-series (which was broadcast). So what we see as the 2nd and 3rd films are edited down versions of the mini-series. I believe that somebody is releasing a full set of extended movie and the complete 9 hours of TV with English subs in April. I'm tempted to wait.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

I was disappointed at the 2nd one, The Girl Who Played With Fire, too.

I did like the second one, though not as much as the first one. The third one brings many things together.

I was thinking....for someone that has not seen the first two, seeing the third one would be like the worst movie ever

These movies are sub titled or do you all understand Swedish?

"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. They are dubbed and subbed. I wouldn't recommend the dubbed version, there's a huge disconnect between the dubbed actor voices and ability vs. watching it in Swedish and reading the subs. After a short while you hardly need to read them to understand what's going on.
