EX369 or db690?

I already have EX365's for my front speakers running off my Alpine CDA 9811 head unit. For my rears I'm currently looking at the EX369s. I'm not sure when my local Circuit City will start selling the new db series. Does anyone know what the differences between the EX and the db series is other than the db series looking a lot cooler? :P
Also I plan to get a Alpine 4 channel amp, this one http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.jsp?c=1&b=g&catoid=-8865&qp=00236&bookmark=bookmark_4&oid=52795
to power all the 4 speakers.
Any opinions on this setup? Also, do you think I should get the EXs or wait for the dbs.

i really dislike alpine, but that amp is fine for what you're doing. 300 bucks aint too bad on the wallet and 55 x 4 aint too bad on the ears
the EX III's aren't a bad speaker -- i've got a set of the 6x9's and really like them. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -
Any other amp in that price range and capability you can recommend for me?
I thought Alpine was really good, and that price is great. I saw an MTX 4 channel amp that only put out like 45 x 4 at 4 ohms for like $400+Testing

why dont you like alpine vince?
i think some of their subs are pretty damn good for the money
and their head units arent too shabby either

the db's blow the ex speakers away... i just replaced my ex 6.5 inch components and coax's with db..... 10 times better easily.... the db tweeter rocks.

i dont dislike alpine -- i love their headunits / subs / and i'm ok with their coaxials.
i just never liked their amps -- always asaw them as overpriced and underpowered.
however in the case of this amp -- its decent power at a decent price. and it suits the application.
mtx makes **** amps for highs -- they haven't made a good 4 channel since the Thunder 304, and that was 4 or 5 yrs ago.
sub amps are great though -- the ol' boom stick...lol.
cadence and usamps aren't going to be in that price range...
however the following are all in that 250 - 290 range due to being on sale or discounted...
- Xtant A4004T $250 on sale

50 x 4 at 4 ohms rms - regulated output.
(i own this amp and think its absolutely great).
- Hifonics Zeus ZX6400 $290 after discount
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/HIFZX6400
85 x 4 wrms @ 4 ohms
- HiFonics Zeus ZX4400 $245 after discount
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/HIFZX4400
55 x 4 wrms @ 4 ohms
- Kenwood KAC 8401 $260

- 60 x 4 wrms at 4 ohms.
personally i'd grab the Xtant or the Zeus 4400, followed closely by the kenwood. over 60 watts rms is probably more than you need. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge
