Saw it last night.... A solid 10. Screenplay and Direction were its strengths along with...
Colin Firth... He was exceptionally good. Easily a performance worthy of an Oscar.
Geoffrey Rush was also very good, but a few line deliveries flashed me to his Shakespeare in Love character. Not a bad thing, just bit of a distraction.
This is really a two-man show, but the supporting cast worked for me.
Helena Bonham Carter did her usual fine job in a limited supporting role.
It was a nice surprise to see Guy Pearce again, even if it was in a very limted support role. I liked his work in LA Confidential and Momento.
