So finally I´m sitting in front of a pair of Energy RC-50´s. Coming from a pair of TSi300´s I have to say that these speakers blow away the TSi. So far, the bass is more than enough for music, and the highs sound better, a bit brighter but not fatiguing. And they look awesome, the real wood veneer is slick, and the magnetic grills are a very nice touch.

I´m listening to Mark Lanegan right now, and I know now what I was missing. And they should sound better after the break in period. I´ll ad pics later!

Energy makes some good stuff, I have some Jamo (owned by Klipsch as well) C605 and they are about the same specs and great, I have had Energy speakers and was impressed.

Are those the AA specials? Looks like a TON of speaker for the $.
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Welcome to the RC club! I was torn between the 50s and the 70s, finally went with the 70s. Have heard great things about the 50s though.

How are the mids? What AVR are you running? Did you use the foot spikes?

Well, the mids sound good so far, better than my TSi´s I was listening to some folk music yesterday, and was pretty impressed! But I hope it will improve as they break in. I´m using a NAD T747 as pre-pro and an ADCOM GFA 7605 as amplifier.

I´m not using the spikes at the moment, just the rubber pads included, but will try later.
