    Yeah, she loves that spot, and i figured it was nice of her to pick the cheapest component to sit on, so i let her be. :tongue:

    I was honestly only expecting an improvement in bass, but that's not really the case. The imaging is incredible, VERY 3-d, and the soundstage is positively enormous now. They've got a huge, fat, and rich sound to them.

    And no... i'm certainly not lacking any bass. But i'm waiting for my neighbors to leave for the evening before i really cut them loose. :biggrin:

    Funny, somehow i've ended up with 3 pairs of Paradigms. Esprit v.3s, Legend v.3s, and Titan v.3s.

    yes I did assume such. Just looks funny in shortened form (thanks to the word's unusual pronunciation - as in two ten cent pieces).

    You got those at a good price if we were looking at the same ad. I was tempted to make the call but I am not really in the market for speakers at the moment.

    I was surprised they were up there for that long. That ad was his second listing, and he had already had 3 flakers.

    I ended up getting them for a bit less than the asking price. I must admit that i had no idea what they original went for until an hour or so after i got them home. I just made an offer based on the fact that i knew that they were a higher model than my Esprits, and took into account what i paid for the Esprits.

    In my opinion, i think i "underpaid" for both pairs. :tongue: (Although it probably cost me almost $20 in gas to go get them.)

    Ahhh.I used to sell them back in their early days,they were often mispronounced as Para-dig-em's.

    Another observation, it's WAY easier to hear voices at lower volumes when watching movies/tv. On the same note, i don't have to turn up near as loud to get impact and imaging.

    I'm pretty happy. :smile:

    Oh, and i did let them loose a bit last night. I am certainly not lacking for bass. :tongue:

    Dude, get those suckers up on spikes!

    I put my Paradigm's (that I bought thanks to you) back on spikes and decided not to sell'em afterall lol. I still want some vintage monitors, but these things image so damn well it's scary.

    They're on spikes. Had to take the spikes out of the Esprits and put them in there. Thinking about springing for some nicer spikes, though. These deserve it. Watching a movie last night, the imaging was nuts enough that i was damn near getting a surround effect. Who needs 5.1 when you've got that and bass out the ****? :tongue:

    You know what the amusing thing is? Our speakers (Esprit, Phantom, Legend) weren't even made for 2-channel usage. Pretty crazy, huh?

    Look to the left of the TV, there's a PS3 there. Blu-Ray player is above the "Cyborg" amp in the rack.

    Just the larger model. I've had the smaller Esprits for about two and a half years now. They were/are a great speaker, and i was happy with them, but i couldn't pass these up. There's been quite a few people on here that have heard them and been amazed at what those little suckers could do. :smile:

    Well, they sound... Huge. I honestly think they overpower my room a bit at really high volumes, but that's way louder than i'll ever listen anyways. My room is about 13x16 (opening to kitchen/dining room), and i've got them on the long wall due to silly room design. I think they could stand to be in a room twice the size. Plenty of bass without being sloppy. They sound pretty similar to the last set of Paradigm Monitor 11s i heard, perhaps with even better imaging. I can't remember the last time i heard a speaker that imaged like this, like Freddy said above, it's scary. The dynamic range is pretty incredible, too. Again, not that the Esprits were bad, but the transition from whisper quiet to explosions on movies is awesome. :smile:
