I was wandering if component speakers could be placed near each other. I have a big gap where the cup holders would be at the bottom of the center column, below the radio and vent controls. I want to have them facing away from each other (one facing the driver and one the passenger), but then the magnets would be close and I was wandering if the electromagnetic field from one would effect opperation of the other?

I've seen setups in Jeeps and things with comps and coax's setup similarly to that in a panel on the ceiling. I don't think it will be a problem. Unless the comps are close to your deck or a monitor.

How close is "close?" Like in ft. or something.

Something similar to like how you wanna keep magnets away from a tv. If you set your comps in the car roughly where you will be installing them and it doesn't look like the colors/display of your deck or monitor are smearing you should be alright. Probably just a foot or so would be enough distance.
