Hopefully the deal goes well and you don't get ripped off.
We have a 100 post minimum for sales in the Flea Market but this is the grey area of it all when it comes to internal, WTB, off the cuff sales. I'm sure Team is loosely aware of the rules at the very least. Polk will have to address the WTB, simple response for sales, in the near future.
It's nice of him to offer and the timing looks perfect for you but ensure there is clear communication, period. You need to exchange 100% information, personal and equipment wise before you go further, for the safety of you both. You should specifically discuss shipping arrangements and method.
Request pics, a direct phone number and I'd actually call him so it's legit. If all that works out, rock on and I hope you both stay long and prosper.
Good luck.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
dorokusai,
I understand your concern and think it is nice that you are looking after this member. Rest assured that there is no scam here. I have over 500 feedback on eBay under this user name and have a postive selling rating of 1 on this forum as well. I also sold a set of LSi9 speakers to a fellow forum member about a month ago and he was very pleased with the transaction.
I am aware of the 100 post rule for selling. I would love to sell on the forum but respect the number and do not try to post useless info each day to hit the 100 mark. The WTB section is my only outlet to try to sell some of my used gear to fellow members. Like you said it is a grey area that I am taking advantage of. I have been a member of the forum since 2009 and have recently met face to face with a fellow member to buy his LSi 5.1 system. One thing they might consider for future for sale posting is the frequency you visit the site. I am on here everyday reading information. I just feel that I do not have enough experience or knowledge to help everyone out with meaningful answers.
Thanks for your concern

Looks like this one's going to go down fine. And this from a member with <100 posts. The number is a good benchmark, but in the end, it's the integrity of the people involved that matters. Good on everybody here. Nice of Mark to chime in just to help ensure all are adequately informed. Good luck with the transaction, and looking forward to hearing more from both of you concerning your respective audio experiences.

+1 Good job -
Thanks everyone for the postive responses. The only downside to joining this forum is that it multiples the upgraditis. About every purchase I have made so far has been a direct result of reading great reviews on this site. It started with a SC-05 moved to a SVS sub continued with an Emotiva amp and then recently the move from RTi to LSi. Also it leaves you with way too much extra gear to sell off sitting in the closet waiting for the next owner to enjoy.

I've seen other posts stating that the feedback system is down.
